Hi Lovelies,

Hope everyone had a great week.  With today's blog post I just want to share the importance of loving yourself first and the joy that truly comes from that. I know I speak on this subject a lot, but that is because it is very important. Confidence is truly the best accessory no matter the outfit. It always adds that certain splash to your look, and when you feel good about yourself, it overpasses any negativity that may come your way. 

Loving yourself is extremely important. Without the love for ourselves, how can anyone love us? What are they seeing about ourselves to love, when we display only the hate we have for ourselves? Yes there are flaws we have, and yes there are things we would all love to change, but if we do not accept ourselves first we will always be in a journey of changing ourselves to be happy. You all may be wondering what exactly does this have to do with my fashion post. But this has a lot to do with it, and it was what motivated me to wear what I wore. I am on a journey of self love and everyday I find a reason why I am more than my weight, and why my weight does not define who I am or what I wear. Everyday I am learning more than ever that when you love yourself, you finally get to live. You begin to not care what others say, you smile more, you love more, you laugh more, you get out of your comfort zone, you live! 

In this post I wore a skater skirt made by Mimmy Yeboah, a designer located in Brooklyn, New York. I paired the skater skirt with a crop top and leather jacket. The crop top was simply a shirt from Forever 21 that I knotted and the jacket was purchased from boohoo early this year. I paired the look with these fabulous pumps from ASOS. ASOS and boohoo currently have leather jackets similar to this if interested. Also leather jackets are the perfect outerwear for the transition from summer to fall.
