Make It Work..For You!

Today's blog post is about making clothes work for you.

Have you ever purchased a piece, wore it once, then felt like you could not wear it again? Because you felt it could only be worn for one occasion, or just did not think it was something that can be worn twice?  Well, I want to tell you guys today that, that does not always have to be the case. You have to make clothes work for you. Switch up styles, recreate looks, while feeling great and also knowing your money was well spent.

 And this is my favorite part about fashion, showing the versatility in pieces, andI am challenging my self this year to do just that. Wearing a piece and rocking it just the way I want to beginning with Rue107.

By now, I hope you guys can understand my love for Rue107. Now lets begin my challenge, making it work! Here is look one, both pieces are from Rue107, and when I instantly saw this, my heart skipped. For the fact that both look amazing together, and the fact that they would also look amazing styled differently just brought a bigger smile to my face. 

Look one. Both straight from Rue107 and perfect for the summer. Now this is also perfect for brunch, and or day party. 

 What about casual? With both top and bottom? Yes let's try it. 

Something simple as changing your shoes may alter a look to a straight casual and comfort look. The white was a perfect touch, it also goes along with the spring and summer vibe the look already sets off, a dark colored sneaker would have thrown it off completely.

Now, lets say I wanted to wear this to work? Can I? Well let's take a look.

A blazer can do just that.  A light colored blazer just to get with the tone this looks sets up. This is definitely a great look for work, just look at me the sunshine of the office. 

Now, just how good would these two look apart? Hmm, I decided to pair the top with my favorite ankara maxi skirt and denim skirt. Take a look. 

I love how this top looked with both skirts!! Talk about super versatile!! 

Now, let's see how we can play with the pants? Let's take a look...

I honestly loved how easy it was to pair the pants with simple tops in my closet. A white t-shirt or a denim shirt easily gives it such a casual look. I love it.
