Ten Things I learned at 25!

Ahhh can't believe I'm 26!! Where did time go?? BUT yes I am officially 26 and I am so excited for what this chapter in my life!

Today's blog post is about ten things I've learned at 25!  Let's begin!!

One of the first things I have learned and later realized is .....

It's okay if you do not have everything figured out. It's okay if you're still figuring out what career path you want to take on, or what new business you want to take on, figure it out. Give yourself time, don't rush, be patient and everything will fall into place if it's meant to be.

The second thing I have learned is that when it comes to dating, don't rush to date, anyone. Build a friendship first, the best relationships start off as friendships. Sometimes we rush into relationships either to fill a void or thinking to be a relationship will make things better. however, that is not the case. It is important to really know the person, everything about them. Take time to get to know people, who they are, and give them a chance to know you.

Next, Set your goals and keep pursuing. Never give up no matter what.

This one is very important to me. I caught myself doing this a lot and it just discouraged me.  Never compare your success to someone else, and vice versa. Focus on your goals, your dreams, your story. You never know what anyone else is going through, or even the steps they took to get where they are. Don't focus on their success and compare it to yours, it's your life, you write the story.

This lesson is also another one close to me. Remember to smell the roses while you still can. Life is unpredictable, don't wait until you lose someone to realize the value they had in your life.  After losing two precious people and gaining two angels I've realized the importance of constantly reminding those around you how much you love them.

Another lesson, which is something my angel Agnes told me before she passed away was to always be grateful.

This is the seventh lesson.  Never be afraid to fail. Failure allows you to learn from your mistakes and pushes you to do better. It is okay to fail, as long as you keep going! There were a lot of moments when I would just stop pursuing a goal because I've FAILED. I had to realize that it was okay because now I know what to not do. Learn from your mistakes, can't repeat it enough.

Next lesson, Although you are not where you may want to be, you are not where you use to be. Anytime you ever feel like giving up, or think like is not fair, sit back and just think about how far you have come.  That is what motivates me every day.

Next is self-love.  Self-love is an ongoing journey because we never stop growing and evolving, so the journey never stops. Self-love is about falling in love with every aspect of yourself at every age, at every size, at every moment.

Last but not least,  life is literally what you make it. You are in charge of it, as cliche as it may sound it's true. So live life to the utmost, because we literally only have one to live. Wear that dress, wear that pattern, eat that last slice of pizza, take risks, dance in the rain. LIVEEEEE AND HAVE FUN WHILE DOING IT.
